THE WORLD´S SMALLEST XMAS CARD
Imagina hacer una postal navideña tan pequeña que apenas se pueda ver!
Eso es exactamente lo que la Universidad de Glasgow ha creado - una tarjeta tan pequeña que más de 8.000 como ella podrían caber en un sello!
The image, which measures 200x290 micro-metres, features a Christmas tree and is etched on a tiny piece of glass.
The team behind the project said the technology could eventually be used in products such as TVs and cameras.

BOXING DAY
A traditional feature of Christmas afternoon is the Queen's Christmas Message. At three o'clock in the afternoon, the Queen gives her Christmas Message to the nation which is broadcast on radio and television.
'I wish you, and all those whom you love and care for, a very happy Christmas'
Boxing Day is on December 26 - the feast of St. Stephen.
It is on this day that the alms box at every English church is opened and the contents are distributed to the poor. Also, this is the day that servants traditionally got the day off to celebrate with their families. It became traditional for working people to break open their tip boxes on this day. Boxing Day began in the mid-nineteenth century when the custom of tipping by rich persons to persons in service positions had apparently gotten out of hand. Children and others pretended to be in the trades and solicited tips. The custom was expanded to giving to anyone and everyone who had less money than you did, and soon the streets at Christmastime were full of aggressive soliciting of tips. To contain the nuisance "Boxing Day" was designated as the one day for giving to the less fortunate.

TANGRAM
The tangram (Chinese: 七巧板; pinyin: qī qiǎo bǎn; literally "seven boards of skill") is a dissection puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, which are put together to form shapes.
The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape (given only an outline or silhouette) using all seven pieces, which may not overlap. It was originally invented in China at some unknown point in history, and then carried over to Europe by trading ships in the early 19th century. It became very popular in Europe for a time then, and then again during World War I. It is one of the most popular dissection puzzles in the world.
